Saeid Hassanzadeh is an Iranian journalist, author, and children’s rights advocate with more than fifteen years of experience in journalism, literature, and civil society activities.
Throughout his career, he has written extensively on social issues, freedom of expression, children’s rights, and the experiences of marginalized communities. His work has appeared in Persian-language and international media, and he has collaborated with journalists, writers, and civil society organizations across different countries.
As a children’s rights advocate, he has worked to raise awareness about the challenges faced by vulnerable children, including refugee and displaced Afghan children. His writings often explore themes of exile, identity, memory, injustice, and human dignity.
Saeid is the author of two books and a member of PEN Canada, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), and the French National Union of Journalists (SNJ).
Following persecution related to his journalistic activities, he was forced to leave Iran and continues his work in exile.
